Choose the role of the powder

Decide whether you want a strong flavor, an unflavored base or control over added sweetness. Those are separate preferences. They point you to different product versions even within one family.

Keep a recipe record

Record the powder, exact flavor, mixing liquid and other additions. If you are comparing how two recipes suit your preferences, changing all of these at once makes it harder to understand the difference.

Unflavored is not a taste guarantee

We do not claim that an unflavored powder disappears into food. The source and recipe can still affect taste and texture. Without hands-on testing, our assessments compare the label and intended use rather than inventing sensory observations.

Check sweetness separately

Fruit, milk alternatives and other additions can contribute sweetness even when the powder is unsweetened. If avoiding a specific ingredient matters, inspect every packaged component rather than only the protein label.

Read directions before adding more

Use the manufacturer’s directions and serving information as the starting point. A smoothie containing a supplement is not automatically a nutritionally complete meal. Match the product to the role you actually need.
